In 2025, in collaboration with Vic from Fazertone, we started THE/AUDIO/FIRM - a new plugin developer aiming to bring exeptional quality analogue modelled processors to the affordable end of the market. Our first plugin is 'FURNACE' - 4 flavour colour box with TAPE, TRANSFORMER and TUBE saturation with Mid-Side processing.

The's nothing on the market that sounds as good, thanks to our unique inference engine driven process.

What is Studio Life and why was the YouTube show called 'Is It Shit?'...? Good question...  Well, Studio Life is the channel and instagram account run by Sean J Vincent. Sean is a sound engineer with over 35 years experience working in both studios and all over the world on various tours. He has worked for some of the biggest names in the industry and has been trusted to mix/master or record various world-selling recordings since the early 90s.  Sean works from his studio in Hertfordshire. (which is where 'Studio Life' is filmed.) The YouTube show got it's name after Sean was searching for a review on a plugin back in 2022 and couldn't find one... he ended up googling the name of the plugin with the phrase 'Is It Shit?' added to the end to see if anyone on a forum had posted anything negative about it...  no joy. So, after a conversation in the pub, Sean and Dan decided this was the ideal name for a new plugin review show.... and that was that. In June 2025, Dan decided to leave the show to pursue another degree and to focus on his work commitments. Sean has continued the show alone since then.

Back in the late 90s and early 2000s, Sean used to write for various magazines in his spare time, including 'The MiX' and 'Computer Music', so we had enough contacts to start things off...and we've been releasing at least 2 videos a week ever since.

I massively appreciate the growing community of subscribers and people getting involved in the comments and I aim to bring more and more interesting content to the channel.
